Living the high life (May 1-June 30)

Well it's not really that high I suppose; we are only on the 6th floor of the 77 floor Q1 building, but it is the highest we have ever lived...

We are finally moved into the Q1 and so happy to be here. Clean, modern apartment with ocean views, big outdoor pools, lap pool, fitness room, movie theatre, gym and arcade.. This place does Not suck!

Gold Coast has 446km of canals (9 times more than Venice).

We do a lot of walking living here as there are miles of beautiful beach and lots of winding canals and parks.

In mid-May we were given a one month pass to 3 of our local theme parks - Sea World, Movie World and Wet n' Wild World. Sea World was our favorite and we visited it several times.

We also spent some time exploring the national parks in the hinterland. The hinterland is full of hiking trails, water falls and beautiful views.
The winding road up into the mountains is only wide enough for one car in some sections.
